Business Administration and Engineering - Green Civil and Building Engineering B.Eng.

Hagen/Lüdenscheid

Summary

The increasing requirements on energy supply of buildings lead to new systems in building technology. These systems combine renewable energy sources with a highly efficient insulating building shell and are intelligently controlled.

The building blocks of industrial engineering and electrical engineering and the elements of business systems technology allow the students to develop economic and ecological solutions for modern buildings. The course promotes the project-oriented and interdisciplinary work of the students. Laboratories and project work provide a taste of how the theory learnt is applied in actual professional situations during the course.

The students are also taught English and technical English. French and Spanish are also optionally possible. As such, the students are directly prepared for the requirements of the international labour market.

Career prospects

Our graduates have a growth market with the greatest challenges of the decades to come ahead of them. Energy supply and consequently building systems technology is experiencing a structural evolution requiring well trained and interdisciplinary active specialists.

The career possibilities are diverse: positions in global energy providers, planning offices, in large corporations in building management, in municipal organisations and in trade, right up to the service sector.
