Exchange students from partner universities (e.g. Erasmus+)

Students from partner universities can spend one or two exchange semesters at South Westphalia UAS. Depending on their home university, students may be eligible for different scholarship programs, most commonly Erasmus+. Students from Mexican partner universities have the opportunity to spend an exchange semester or to pursue a double degree at South Westphalia UAS through the Mexican German University Cooperation mdhk.

If you are interested in studying at our university, please follow the application and selection procedures at your home university. Your home university must first select you for an exchange at South Westphalia UAS and officially nominate you. Once we received your nomination, our International Office will provide you with further information about the application process and the next steps.

Exchange students for internship and final thesis

International students who wish to complete an internship in one of our laboratories, carry out a research project or work on their final thesis at South Westphalia UAS may be able to do so, depending on the availability of suitable projects and academic supervision.
If you are interested, please contact the International Office (incoming@fh-swf.de) well in advance with information about your planned activities, field of study and intended duration of stay. Acceptance is subject to approval by the relevant faculty.

Free Mover Students

If your home university does not have a partnership agreement with South Westphalia UAS, you may still be able to study with us as a free mover student for one or two semesters.
Admission depends on the availability of places and approval by the relevant faculty. Please contact the International Office (incoming@fh-swf.de) before applying to discuss your study options and the application requirements.
