Summary
The Bachelor of Engineering in Digital Technologies is an interdisciplinary full-time degree programme offered at Soest campus.
The curriculum combines mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science in equal parts, covering basic subjects such as programming and algorithms, data structures, mechanics, IT security, data science and usability engineering. In higher semesters, students delve deeper into topics such as embedded systems, communication systems and machine learning.
Practical learning is emphasised through structured project modules, a practical phase and a final Bachelor's thesis as well as the colloquium.
Graduates are equipped for tasks at the interface between technology and IT. In addition to traditional IT companies, the manufacturing industry and manufacturers of (automated) products are interesting employers. This also includes the automotive industry and its suppliers (e.g. in the field of autonomous driving and the development of new mobility concepts). The degree course also provides a solid foundation for further academic studies or work in a research environment.
This Bachelor's degree course promotes technical breadth and practical expertise and prepares students to actively shape digital change in all technical disciplines.
