Summary
Data Science (Master of Science) is a five-semester, part-time, professionally integrated programme offered at Meschede campus, with enrolment only in the winter semester. Designed for working professionals, it combines weekly attendance (Fridays and Saturdays) with block weeks, enabling students to continue their studies alongside employment, family, or other commitments.
The curriculum emphasises advanced data analytics, machine learning, Big Data technologies and languages/tools such as Python, R, Spark, MongoDB, while students gain practical experience through industry-linked project modules. The programme is concluded with a Master’s thesis, typically conducted at the student’s workplace.
