Summary
The Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Sustainability Management is a full-time degree course in Soest.
The curriculum begins with a broad scientific foundation in the first two semesters, covering subjects such as applied statistics, chemistry, ecology, meteorology and the basics of plant and animal life. From the third semester onwards, students deepen their knowledge through advanced modules in sustainability management, geo-intelligence, environmental analysis, ecosystem services and climate adaptation, as well as elective modules for an individual specialisation.
At the end of the programme, students complete a practice-oriented Bachelor's thesis and an oral colloquium.
Graduates are ideally equipped for a career in the fields of environmental and nature conservation, sustainability management, consultancy, emissions trading, spatial planning and bioeconomy. They can pursue these careers in public authorities, NGOs, private companies or progress to a Master's degree course.
