Dear incoming students,
we are delighted to welcome you to Meschede soon. You have chosen the degree programme
International Management (IM). As with any business-related degree, mathematical skills are crucial here. To ensure a smooth start to the module "Quantitative Methods", you should revise your school-level basics in advance.
You can carry out this revision beforehand in your home country or from the comfort of your own home. The
OMB+ bridging course is available for this purpose.
With the help of this course, you will revise and consolidate the mathematical foundations as they are taught in Germany. When registering, please state our university – the Fachhochschule Südwestfalen. You will then be able to work flexibly, whenever and wherever you like.

Let's kick off your first semester together! Following the welcome address by the Dean of the Faculty and the Mayor of Meschede, you will receive essential initial information and meet key contacts for your studies.
- Orientation Phase (O-Week):
Tuesday, September 29 – Friday, October 2, 2026
During these days, you will get to know the university and its central IT systems, and learn how studying works in practice. Depending on your degree program, you can look forward to hands-on introductions to business or engineering, as well as valuable tips and networks for a successful student life.
- Start of Regular Lectures:
Monday, October 5, 2026
Official classes will begin today according to your individual schedule.
