The Senate and Rectorate of South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences endorse the Statement of the Executive Board of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) under the title “Science needs liberal democracy and the rule of law”. As a result of the developments and incidents of recent weeks and months, the University particularly committed to emphasising the active opposition to all forms of anti-Semitism and other forms of racism and hostility towards members of particular religious groups. Senate and Rectorate also took the opportunity to renew the University's Declaration of Tolerance, which was published in 2015.
