The Engineering Design course at the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences in Iserlohn offers you a forward-looking education in the field of mechanical engineering corresponding to the requirements of the industry. The distinctive components of the course are product design and construction systematics, taking modern quality assurance measures and economic factors into consideration.
In the first three semesters students are introduced to basic subjects such as mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, materials science and CAD. In subsequent semesters this knowledge is then fortified and expanded with subjects such as fluid technology, measuring, control and regulation technology, constructive design, transmission technology and higher technical mechanics. Further specialisation is possible thanks to the range of general optional subjects available which include: CAD/CAM, CAE method, human resources management and personnel management, creativity / ideation.
